FANTASMA SYSTEM All traditional pick ups, from the best to the worst on the market
has an unsolved problem: If you need more volume then it’s necessary to increase
the amount of wires used. However to increase volume you inevitably lose the
high frequencies.
It depend on the wire's parasite capacity and the only solution in
a traditional electric design is cutting the medium- low frequencies connecting
the pick up to a capacitor .The low frequencies increase and by doing so shadow
the high frequencies to the point of hiding them..Well, for us this problem doesn't exist anymore. What is the "Gaglio Fantasma System"?
we don't use a single copper wire wrapped around the magnets but
two wires wrapped each to the others with no electric connection between
them.
In this way the wires are in capacitive coupling.
Now, connecting the black1 and the red 2 to the amplifier our pick
START to WORK.(an erratic reading will be present on an OHM…but doesn’t matter
our pick works perfectly!) At this point we connect the black2 and the red 1 to a
potentiometer WITHOUT any capacitor and we obtain an incredible wide frequency
range from the deepest to the highest, and even it’s possible to get to the high
frequencies without losing the bass frequencies and vice versa. The wires
positioned in this way allows the pick up to work like a capacitor and at this
point what is a problem for others is an advantage for us: For the Gaglio
Fantasma Pick Ups more wires means more power and more high and bass frequencies
together. We produce humbuckers for jazz and rock, single coils for rock and
fusion, single coils and humbuckers for bass guitars (4-5-6 strings) Our last
new issue is a beautiful mini-humbucker and a floating fantasma Johnny Smith
style for Arch tops guitars.
